BIG READ

freebook

The Lewis & Clark Library is one of 62 communities nationwide to receive a NEA Big Read Grant. An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the power of a shared reading experience.

This year the book we are exploring is The Bear by Andrew Krivak. Free copies are available at all Library branches.

From new moon to full moon, September 15th-October 28th, the Lewis & Clark Library has events for all ages! Family activities, films, lectures, book discussions, stargazing and full moon parties will round out this opportunity to have our community explore one book all at the same time.

Don’t miss author Andrew Krivak’s appearance in Helena on Thursday, October 26!

We kickoff the NEA Big Read Friday, September 15. Come hear the Magpie Drummers & Singers, take in some beautiful photography by Lea Frye, and get a free book!
