Library Announces New E-Media APP!
August 23, 2016 (Helena, MT)—Your Lewis & Clark Library is pleased to announce the availability of an exciting new eBook and eAudio Book app through Baker & Taylor, Axis 360. Collection Management Librarian Karla Ritten announced that the All-In-One Axis 360 mobile app is now available for all Lewis & Clark Library patrons.
Axis 360 app users will enjoy increased functionality and ease-of-use, with one-stop access to digital content. The new app provides single sign on, eliminating the need for Adobe IDs, additional apps, and credentials. Users link to the Lewis & Clark Library, search or browse their favorite topics, and enjoy reading or listening within the Axis 360 app. Axis 360 also presents recommendations from the Library’s collection, based on the user’s selection.
Ritten explains that the “the new Axis 360 app is easy to use and provides Apple, Android, Kindle Fire 3rd generation or higher, and Windows Desktop users the ability to discover, download, and read eBooks or listen to digital audiobooks, within a single application.”
All titles will now open directly in the new Axis 360 application. Users will also have access to their bookshelf of borrowed material – “My Stuff” – from all of their devices – desktop, tablets, and smartphones.

To celebrate the availability of the Axis 360 app to Lewis & Clark Library patrons, the Library is hosting a series of open houses on August 30th and 31st. “This is a great opportunity to come in and learn more about Axis 360 and get all of your questions answered,” explained Ritten. Participants can register to win a Kindle Fire as well as enjoy refreshments.
Representatives from Baker & Taylor will be at the East Helena Branch on Tuesday, August 30th from 10AM-Noon and then at the Main Branch from 2PM-4PM and again from 5PM-7PM to answer questions and demonstrate how easy it is to get Axis 360 on your mobile device. On Wednesday, August 31st, they will host an open house at the Augusta Branch from 10AM-Noon and at the Lincoln Branch from 2PM-4PM.
