It’s March Library Card Madness @ Your Lewis & Clark Library!
February 26, 2016 (Helena, MT)—It’s March Madness @ Your Lewis & Clark Library…March Library Card Madness that is and we have some fun events planned for children of all ages!
Beginning March 1st, the ever popular Books & Babies Early Literacy program is expanding to include a third session on Tuesday mornings at 10:30AM. Caregivers and their little ones, birth through 2 1/2 years old are invited to join us for songs, action rhymes, finger plays, and stories.
Join us on Saturday, March 5th at 10:30AM for Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Party and Story Time. Miss Marissa will lead some silly stories and a fun craft for children ages preschool through 2nd grade. Costumes are encouraged for this whimsical celebration of this beloved children’s author.
Children in grades kindergarten through 5th are invited to attend Lego Club on Monday, March 14th from 3-4:30PM. Your imagination is the limit as we bring out our collection of LEGO bricks for an open build! Children under age 8 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. No registration required.
Your local Montana Radio morning personalities will be hosting story time at the main branch of the Library on March 16th & 17th. You’ll get a chance to meet Scott Hirschi, from the Mighty-Mo Morning show, and Whitney Dorr from the KMTX Morning Wake Up Call!
3rd-5th graders are invited to attend Minecraft Saturday on March 19th from 3-4PM. Come spend time with other kids playing Minecraft in the computer lab. There is a 10 computer limit so registration is required. Call or stop by the information desk to register.
Tween Book Jam on Monday, March 21st is for students in grades 3rd-5th who want to discuss their favorite books. Bring a favorite book and enjoy great conversation and snacks.
At the end of the month, students in grades kindergarten through 5th invited to attend Crafternoon for Kids. Stop by and enjoy doing a spring break themed craft activity and beat boredom. This is a drop-in event and all supplies will be provided.
While you’re in the Library, don’t forget to sign up for a library card and get your name entered into a drawing for a Family Fun Pack!
Signing up for a Library Card is easy. Library cards are free for residents of Lewis & Clark. Not a resident of Lewis & Clark County? Not to worry, the Library has plenty of options available for those who live outside the County or who are temporary residents. Simply stop by any of our Branches or the Bookmobile and ask our friendly staff for more information on how to sign up for a Library Card.
